Info: Classically trained on the piano and keyboards for 10 years starting at the age of 7, many years studying drums and percussion instruments, and self taught on the guitar, jd has been a musician and music lover for almost his entire life. His love of electronic music started in the early 90s with bands like Skinny Puppy, Thrill Kill Kult and Lords of Acid. Influenced also by Bauhaus and Peter Murphy, he and friends composed music with an electronic, post-punk style in the band Voodoo System.
After moving to Denver in 2000, jd’s interest in the electronic music scene deepened. He met other aspiring DJs and promoters in the vibrant Denver club scene and began learning to dj on a pair of Technics MK2s and a used Pioneer mixer from a friend. jd soon began playing out at parties and clubs with friends, and has become an integral part of the Bass Brigade collective.
Currently, jd plays with the Bass Brigade on Thursday nights at Opal restaurant in Downtown Denver, race events with Sandria Sez, and composes music with the electronic music group Death by Association.
